The third meeting of the ninth Parliament is to end this evening

The newspaper warning on the prorogation of the third meeting of the ninth Parliament has been given by President's Secretary Saman Ekanayake and will be viable from 12 PM today (27 Jan.).

As needs are, President Ranil Wickremesinghe is booked to formally initiate the fourth meeting of the ninth Parliament at 10.00 am on 08 February.

It is a practice for the President to convey his Administration's Strategy Explanation at the beginning of another meeting of Parliament.

As needs are, the Strategy Articulation to be executed in the country from the 75th Freedom festivity in 2023 until the Century festivity in 2048, comprising of new approaches, new regulations, and acts proposed to be carried out to improve the country, regardless of party, variety or station separation, will be introduced to Parliament.
