Train administrations continue after the time check-limitation lifted

Train administrations will continue after the police check-in time is lifted at 8.00 am today (09 July), the General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways says.

In front of the mass fights anticipated today, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) declared the previous evening that Negombo, Kelaniya, Nugegoda, Mount Lavinia, Colombo North, Colombo South, and Colombo Central police regions will be under police time limit orders from 9.00 p.m. recently until additional notification.

Following the declaration, Sri Lanka Railways said train administrations to Colombo from different objections wouldn't work today, because of the burden of police time limitation.

Nonetheless, as the time limitation orders were lifted toward the beginning of today, the railroad division declared that trains to Colombo will be ready to go as booked.
