The Sri Lanka Customs Department today said that the two Cadillac Escalade vehicles that were being moved in a vehicle transporter on the freeway were not imported abusing the limitation on vehicle imports.
Customs Deputy Director (Legal) and media representative Sudatta Silva said this because of a video cut that flowed via web-based media guaranteeing that two extravagance vehicles were spotted on the turnpike being shipped in a vehicle transporter.
He said Sri Lanka Customs today educated the public that the said vehicles have been imported by a Sri Lankan vehicle fixing plant enlisted under the Board of Investment (BOI) in Kaduwela for re-send out purposes after esteem expansion.
