CEB anticipates India's reaction to fuel supply

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has had two rounds of talks with the Indian Government and the IOC to get fuel straightforwardly for the CEB and are hanging tight for a reaction, a representative for the CEB said.

Assuming the Indian government assented to supply fuel to the CEB, it very well may be done through the CEB or the IOC. "All conversations were held using the Indian High Commission in Colombo," CEB Spokesman and Deputy General Manager A. R. Navamani said.

In the interim, Government Spokesman, Plantation Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana in a hopeful tone, said the public authority expects the unfamiliar money lack which was the main driver for all ills squeezing the public economy would be facilitated constantly quarter of the year.

"We are in an unfamiliar trade crunch exacerbated continuously right now.
