Being not able to give 180 MW of power to the public framework and the heater oil has been consumed in many power plants, power cuts would happen from tomorrow, the Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers' Union (CEBEU) said.
CEBEU Committee part Eranga Kudahewa said power cuts would be viable from tomorrow evening (24) for an extremely brief time frame, for around one and half hours on Tuesday (25).
On Saturday (22) hydropower age tumbled to 25% of complete power interest. The inventory of coal, diesel, and fuel has expanded by 72%, they said.
The Sapugaskanda power plant, which creates 180 MW has been totally closed down because of the consumption of heater fuel needed for the activity, the association said.
The CEBEU asserted that the Northern Janani Power Plant, with a limit of 24 MW is likewise running out of heater oil and diesel, as indicated by the Electrical Engineers Association.
The fuel needed for the Yugadanavi Power Station must be imported because of the great circle amount contained in the fuel sanitized at the Sapugaskanda processing plant, the association said.
