Schools will reopen for all grades the following week.

According to Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardane, the government has decided to reopen all remaining grades in government schools beginning next week.

His remarks came during this morning's second reading debate on Budget 2022 in Parliament (Nov. 15).

At the moment, students in primary schools, primary sections of schools, as well as Advanced Level and Ordinary Level classes, participate in in-person academic activities.

As a result, after a months-long closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools across the island will reopen next week.
