For the first time, the CSE's ASPI exceeds 11,000 points.

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) set a new high today when the All Share Price Index (ASPI) surpassed 11,000 points for the first time.

At the end of trading today (November 16), the ASPI was at 11,008.33 points, up 2.38 percent (255.51 points) from the previous day.

The previous high was set earlier this month, on November 5, when the index closed at 10,632.21 points.

More than 538 million shares were traded in total during the day, with a market turnover of Rs. 10.27 billion.

Meanwhile, the S&P SL20 index closed today at 3,606.85 points, up 0.24 percent from the previous day.
