According to the Health Ministry's Epidemiology Unit, 532 more people tested positive for the novel coronavirus today (November 17).
The new development brings the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country to 553,526 so far.
According to official figures, the number of virus-infected patients receiving treatment currently exceeds 14,300. Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries has risen to 525,188.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of Health Services has confirmed 23 new coronavirus-related deaths on November 16, bringing the total number of deaths in the country due to virus infection to 14,057.
According to the Department of Government Information, 13 males and 10 females were dead today.
Two of the victims are between the ages of 30 and 59, while the remaining 21 are 60 and older.
