488 new COVID cases have been reported in Sri Lanka, with 16 deaths.


The Director-General of Health Services has confirmed 16 more coronavirus-related deaths in November 9, bringing the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the country to 13,908.

According to the Department of Government Information, there are eight males and eight female patients.

Two of the victims are between the ages of 30 and 59, while 14 others are 60 and older.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health announced today that another 488 persons tested positive for the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 547,141.
