The death toll from COVID in Sri Lanka has surpassed 13,000 people.


The overall number of patients infected with COVID-19 in Sri Lanka has risen to 55, according to the Director-General of Health Services on Friday (Oct. 01).


The new discovery brings the country's official death toll from the Ebola outbreak to 13,019.


The latest victims include 38 males and 17 girls, according to data supplied by the Department of Government Information.


There were 38 documented deaths among elderly adults above the age of 60. In addition, 15 persons between the ages of 30 and 59, as well as two people under the age of 30, have died as a result of the viral infection.
