Today's COVID-19 case count reaches 1,321 for the day.


The Health Ministry's Epidemiology Unit stated that 403 more patients tested positive for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka today (Sept. 21), bringing the day total to 1,321.


All new instances, according to the Government Information Department, were related with the New Year Cluster.


This raises the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the country to 507,330.


According to official data, more over 60,900 active cases are now being treated in hospitals, treatment centers, and nursing homes.


Earlier today, total recoveries from the virus infection reached 434,140 as 1,047 more patients were discharged from medical care after regaining health.


Meanwhile, the Director-General of Health Services acknowledged 66 more COVID-related fatalities in Sri Lanka on September 20. With this new finding, the official death toll from the Ebola outbreak in Sri Lanka now stands at 12,284.
